| Original Rock Art.
It's a creative concept of mine. I imagine how something could have been portrayed on stone by early Native American artists and then add my own inspiration. I am a self-taught rock artist. My skills center on my personal interpretation of Native American motifs as well as primitives, petroglyphs, anthropomorphs, plus early and ancient religious symbols. Some are depicted as accurately as I can make them, others are "twisted" to provide the viewer with a new look and feel. |

| Regarding recent drawings of Ponies...I like to call these Limestone
Ponies. They are drawn with alcohol-based ink. The limestone is, in most
cases, a creamy white color overall with some naturally occuring striations. Additionally,
on some stones, will be a small number of naturally occuring fungus patterns. The stones average about two to three inches along the longest dimension and are from one eighth to one quarter inch in thickness with a few exceptions. Dimensions of each stone vary because each was individually cut from a larger piece by hand. |
Many of the stones seen here were collected from the Rogue River, Oregon area, but some are from Lake Tahoe, California, Utah, and Colorado. From time-to-time I do acquire quarried stone when color and texture is suitable. Each stone is hand selected for size, shape and "personality." Most are signed and dated, and all are original and one-of-a-kind. |
